$1,000 Screenplay & Short Story Scholarship

Are you a student with a knack for making people laugh? forthebois NFP is offering a $1,000 scholarship for students enrolling in school who can craft an original screenplay or short story packed with comedy—raunchiness welcome!

Eligibility

Must be currently enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited college, university, or trade school.
Open to students of all majors and fields of study.
Must be 17 years or older at the time of application.

Submission Guidelines

Submit an original screenplay or short story that is comedy-focused. Raunchy humor is allowed, but entries must avoid hate speech, discrimination, or plagiarism.
Short stories should be 1,500–5,000 words in length (PDF format).
Screenplays should be 5–15 pages, properly formatted (PDF format).
All submissions must be in English.
Only one entry per person is allowed.

Judging Criteria

Humor & Creativity (40%): Is it funny? Does it stand out?
Originality (30%): Fresh ideas, unexpected twists, and engaging storytelling.
Writing Quality (20%): Proper grammar, clear structure, and strong narrative flow.
Relevance to Theme (10%): Does it embrace the comedic and raunchy spirit?
